Criteo OneTag on your homepage


Implementing Criteo OneTag on your homepage allows us to track bouncers (users who land on your homepage but leave your site without making a purchase). Criteo can then display ad-creative featuring best-selling products to these users.

The homepage tag should be implemented within the header code on your homepage.You may want to also place a homepage tag on some non-product related pages (e.g. a blog) to capture users who visit this page. The tag loads asynchronously so it won't interfere with the page loading time or the user experience.

Only two parameters have to be passed dynamically into the Criteo OneTag when implemented on your home page, the setSiteType and setEmail parameters.

The Criteo OneTag implemented on a homepage:

The viewHome event

The viewHome event is the Criteo OneTag specific event when the tag is implemented on your homepage. Please do not modify it.

setSiteType parameter

The setSitetype parameter is a dynamic parameter that will be present in the Criteo OneTag across all the pages of your site. If your site has different versions, indicate which version of your site is displayed to the user via the setSiteType parameter:

    • d for desktop
    • m for mobile
    • t for tablet
