Product ID is not displayable in banner

Product ID not displayable in banner

Overview :

You can get this error in in pages where you have the Criteo OneTag implemented on a Listing tag, the Product tag, the Basket tag or the Sales tag.

If you are browsing a page where the Criteo OneTag is correctly implemented, with the product ID populated and the ID corresponding to your the feed, and you get this message in the Debug Console, it means that this specific product is set as “non recommendable” in your feed.

This can have several root causes:

  1. You set this product to “Non Recommendable” if your feed in order to exclude it from the retargeting

Solution :

If you have set the product to “Non Recommendable” in your feed, ignore the warning.

If it’s not the case and you want this product to be recommendable and shown in the banners, you need to change the value in the feed.

To do so, open the file you provided as a feed, and verify that the value in the column “recommendable” is set to 1:

  • If the value is set to 1, it means that the product is recommendable and will be taken by our recommendation engine and will be displayed.
  • If the value is set to 0, it means that the product is recommendable and will not be taken by our recommendation engine, and will not be displayed.

  1. The product is out of stock in your feed, and is therefore set to “Non Recommendable” in order to not have it in the banner while it’s out of stock

Solution :

If you have set the product to “Out of stock” in your feed, ignore the warning.

If it’s not the case and your product is not out of stock, you need to change the value in the feed.

To do so, open the file you provided as a feed, and verify that the value in the column “inStock” is set to 1:

  • If the value is set to 1, it means that the product is in stock and will be displayed.
  • If the value is set to 0, it means that the product is out of stock, and will not be displayed.

  1. The product in the feed is missing one or several mandatory attribute, and due to that has been passed to Non Recommendable by our system.

Solution :

If the product is missing one of the mandatory attribute, you have to update the feed in order to fill the missing attribute for the product.

  1. The product was previously in the feed, and has been removed. When a product was at some point in the feed and is not anymore, it is set to “Non Recommendable” in order to avoid seeing it in the banners.

Solution :

If the product was previously in the feed and is now deliberately removed, you can ignore the error.

If the product has not been deliberately removed from the feed, you need to update your feed and add this product
