Product not displayed in banner

Overview

You are getting this message in pages where you have implemented the Criteo OneTag:

  • Listing tracker
  • Product tracker
  • Basket tracker
  • Sales tracker

If you see this message, it means that this specific product is set as “non recommendable” in your feed. Your product could be set as “non recommendable” for the following four reasons:

  1. You set this product to “non recommendable” in your feed to exclude it to be taken in consideration by our recommendation engine.

If you set the product to “non recommendable” in your feed, ignore the warning message.

If you want this product to be recommendable and shown in the banners, you need to change the value in the feed. To do so, open the file you provided as a feed and verify that the value in the column “recommendable” is set to 1:

  • If the value is set to 1, it means that the product is recommendable and will be taken by our recommendation engine – and will be displayed.
  • If the value is set to 0, it means that the product is non recommendable and will not be taken by our recommendation engine – and won’t be displayed.

  1. The product is out of stock in your feed, so that it won’t appear in the banner while it’s out of stock.

If you set the product to “out of stock” in your feed, ignore the warning message.

If the product is in stock – you need to update the value in the feed. To do so, open the file you provided as a feed and update the value in the column “inStock”  to 1:

  • If the value is set to 1, it means that the product is in stock and will be displayed.
  • If the value is set to 0, it means that the product is out of stock (and therefore it wont be taken in consideration by our recommendation engine) and will not be displayed.

  1. The product in the feed is missing one or several mandatory attributes and has been marked as non recommendable by our system.

If the product is missing one of the mandatory attributes, you have to update the feed to include the missing attribute(s).

  1. The product was previously in the feed and has since been removed. When a product was previously in the feed but no longer is, it is set to non recommendable” to avoid appearing in the banners.

If the product was previously in the feed and you deliberately removed it, you can ignore the error.

If you didn’t deliberately remove this product from the feed, you need to update your feed to include it.
