An error message prevents me from approving the new IO. What do I need to do?

If you see “Sorry but you don’t have the necessary access rights to perform this action” after clicking on the email link, it indicates that:

  1. You are not the account Administrator or a Financial Manager 
  2. You do not have the rights to approve budgets
  3. The IO is out of date or has been submitted over 30 days ago
